World Alzheimer's Day-September 21, 2008

Below are "Virtual Quilt Patches" in honor or memory of several people dear to me who have/had Alzheimer's.

"There are 26.6 million people worldwide with Alzheimer's disease. More than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's disease. And, there are a group of quilters who are trying to do something to find a cure."   Quoted from the Ami Simms Newsletter

Ami Simms is a renowned quilting teacher and author whose mother has Alzheimer's. She founded the Alzheimer's Art Quilt Initiative to raise money for Alzheimer's research. The Virtual Quilt Patches are a part of her initiative to raise awareness.
